The Plaza Garden Hotel and Residences

The hotel seems newly built, but the entrance is through a carport tower that looks suspicious, with three floors of ramps up to the entrance deck and no pedestrian lift. It’s fairly central, though walking around means dealing with busy roads and narrow sidewalks. It was holiday season, so taxis were hard to get. Our room smelled of mold, though the hotel had already put a dryer in it. There was no view. The breakfast buffet was nice, mostly Filipino options. The place could have potential once it’s properly finished.

The location wasn’t very convenient, but I still enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, well kept, and had everything needed, including modern amenities and a smart TV. The buffet was an added bonus. Aside from the location, the room and facilities were excellent.

The room was comfortable, nicely sized, and seemed recently renovated. It had a smart TV, and even without air conditioning it felt airy. Part of the hotel was still under construction, and reaching the lobby meant going up three levels of ramp. That could be challenging for guests without their own car. Still, it was a good stay.

Breakfast was included and pretty tasty, and the price was good for what we got. The manager helped with all our requests, and I’d definitely stay again. It reminded me of a Hampton Inn in America. The workmanship was a bit cheap in places: the shower door was broken and barely opened, there were small cracks around the light fixture, and the tiles weren’t quite perfect. Even so, it was a really nice place for the money.
