Venus Parkview Hotel

We spent a weekend here as a family, 3 days and 2 nights. The room had no view, but it came with a small fridge, air conditioning, a small TV, shower, hot water, toiletries, towels, and slippers. The staff were welcoming and helpful, from the guard and reception team to the restaurant and housekeeping. The hotel is right across from Burnham Park, with parking for guests and taxis easy to find. There are good restaurants nearby, plus a convenience store that's open 24 hours. Breakfast is included as a buffet, though the selection is modest, enough for a proper meal. For what we paid, it felt like a budget-friendly stay at a decent hotel. We'll come back on our next visit to Baguio.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge range of choices and enough variety to feel more like brunch. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive too. We stayed in a Superior Queen Parkview with Balcony. The clean, modern room was average in size, and the balcony let in street noise. There was an open clothes rack with a shelf but no drawers. They supplied slippers and bottled water, and there's also a water station in the hallway. Toiletries came in single-use sizes, though there was no lotion or shower cap. The location is just across from Burnham Park. The lobby is elegant and impressive, and the hotel seems to sit on a hill. One drawback: the main building has no elevator.

The room was spacious and recently renovated, with air conditioning for days when Baguio weather isn't doing its thing and a smart TV. The staff were kind enough, and there are plenty of breakfast choices. A water dispenser in the hallway was handy too. But I can't understand the five-star ratings. Our bedsheet looked so dirty that I wondered whether it had been washed. It was disgusting and unforgivable. The walls are thin enough that you can hear regular conversations and TV from the next room, so it gets noisy. And the elevator is a long way from the front desk, confusing to find. You still have to use stairs, which isn't senior or kid friendly.

The dining room had a cozy, relaxed feel, nice for a family meal or a casual get-together. I tried the buffet at and enjoyed it. There was a good range of dishes, and it made for a simple, pleasant meal without feeling overwhelming.
