The biggest issue at Velez Pension House was cleanliness. Dust was around the place, the hallway floor didn’t seem to get mopped regularly, and even our decent deluxe room had dust and grimy, smudged windows. Getting to reception meant walking upstairs from an entrance right beside a meat shop, so the smell of blood and flesh was hard to avoid. On the plus side, it’s centrally located in the heart of Bais City, at the corner of Baiz City Market and a few meters from places like Jollibee and Mang Inasal. It’s an affordable starting point for seeing the city, with friendly staff and 24/7 security.
