I expected the two triple rooms I booked well in advance, with room to rest and a balcony view upstairs. Instead, they gave me a double room downstairs because, the person handling bookings said, I was alone and there were many students. The owner said she would refund the difference, and I’m still waiting for it. I’m sure the place and staff can be good and accommodating, but people should receive what they booked. Being offered money back doesn’t undo the loss of what you needed, like offering compensation after removing the wrong organ. That’s why I’m giving one star.

The location is handy, just steps from the beach and boardwalk. Our room was clean, the aircon was cold, and there was WiFi. The TV wasn’t smart and had no cable, and you’ll need to bring your own toiletries. The kuya at reception was really friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed staying here.

Clean bathroom, fresh-smelling sheets, and the AC worked fine. There was no internet, but I wasn’t there to scroll social media anyway. It’s near the beach, though you still need to walk a little to reach the surfing area.

I had a fairly reasonable stay in Room 203 with my family, though a few things could be better. The bathroom doorknob was rusty and pretty disgusting, so I hope it gets replaced. Internet was slow, and there were no cups or drinks like coffee and tea at the first-floor drink stand. I also think there should be emergency supplies on hand, such as a cold compress and first-aid kits. A minifridge for storing food would have been useful too.

Being only a few steps from the shore was a big plus, and the beach was amazing. The host was so nice and accommodating, and we loved the friendly dogs around the property. We got to Baler at 3:30 AM, and someone let us check in early for a small fee, which meant a lot after the long trip. The room was basic, with no TV, and the aircon wasn’t very strong. That didn’t bother us much since we were out enjoying the beach most of the time. We’d definitely book here again next time we’re in Baler. 10/10 for us!
