Jennifer's Inn Baler

Jennifer and her family were wonderful hosts. They were generous and thoughtful, and made sure our families with young kids had a great stay. The rooms were modest, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We found the rates good value, and the location was perfect, just a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

The room itself was clean and the people were nice, but the toilet wouldn't flush. The shower worked, though there was no heater, the water flow was poor, and sometimes the water smelled. There was just one power outlet, which isn't great if you've got a lot of electronics.

We ended up using only one of the two rooms we were meant to have because the aircon in the other one wasn't working. It was summer, so that room was unbearably hot and messy. The room we did use was clean. We didn't touch the aircon, only checked whether it was dirty. Please check each room properly for damage before accusing guests of cracking it, instead of passing the blame to the next guests when you don't know who caused it. They also use the same towel color to tell guest towels from their own. The person downstairs in the souvenir area was nice, but the cleaner or maintenance person was rude, and it ruined the mood. Guests should be treated kindly and helped when they have questions, especially by the cleaning staff. They said they supposedly didn't know how to clean it, and didn't want to clean it.

Brother Gerald was really nice, and they provided water so we didn't have to buy it. The room was good, not brand new but still fine for a solo trip. The location worked well too, near the beach, about a two minute walk, and close to the places you might want to visit.
