Anaya Beach Resort

We planned to stay for 8 days, but left early over basic things that matter to guests. Our room wasn't cleaned each day, and when we asked about it, staff asked whether we were checking out. We shouldn't have had to ask, and that response didn't help. There was also confusion about our room transfer: the receptionist first confirmed one room, then said she'd confirmed a different one when it was time to move. She didn't apologize or acknowledge the mix-up. The staff lacked basic courtesy.

After booking a room through agoda.com for February 13, 2026, I arrived and was told the place was overbooked. They sent me away to find somewhere else to stay and are refusing to refund my money. Shame on you, agoda and anaya beach resort.

You can spend time on the swings or colorful bean bags and take in the beach view. There’s a relaxed island feel, with vendors occasionally passing by, plus karaoke, a fridge for drinks, and fresh buko (coconut) juice. The resort is beachfront and close to the port, which is convenient for travelers. Restrooms are clean and maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and well kept. Staff are friendly and ready to help, and the security guard is respectful and humble while looking after guest safety. There’s ample parking and a designated smoking area. Food costs a bit more, though it’s delicious and worth trying. It’s a relaxing, Instagram-worthy place for beachside memories.

The room was decent and came with toiletries, spare slippers, and an umbrella. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful with directions and recommendations. Just keep expectations in line with a 2 star hotel. If you want a cheap place near the port with every appliance you might want, look elsewhere.
