S.R Paradise Beach Resort Hotel

The scenery was amazing in both the daytime and at night, and our room was comfortable. It was great to have free use of a refrigerator. Staff were mostly approachable: one employee charged us for asking for ice, but another gave it to us for free. They also let us warm our food in the microwave. The shower rooms worked, though the lights in them didn't. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and could relax and talk with family, friends, or someone special. I'd recommend this place for a get-together.

I’m having breakfast now with the blue sky and the wide South China Sea horizon in view. The food is okay, and the towels were fresh from the laundry. Our room was clean and spacious. The place is pretty good if you want to relax somewhere quiet.

I stayed from 20 Dec-22 Dec 2019, for 3 days and 2 nights, and paid 7250 including taxes. The room was clean, but there were no chairs, so I sat on the bed to watch TV. The covered pool was clean, while the building looked old and not very nice, and the hall and reception were plain. Breakfast was expensive and poor: the fried egg, ham, and toast were all overcooked, and there was no butter unless you asked. When I booked, they said only two deluxe rooms were available, so I worried we might not get a good spot. But when we arrived almost all the rooms were available, and only four rooms in our block were occupied. I don't recommend this hotel. It has no atmosphere.

For a large group on a tight budget, it was great to find a place where we could cook our own food and swim. The accommodation was reasonably affordable for one night, though basic, so don't expect five-star amenities. In our dorm-style room only one shower room worked, but there was also an outdoor shower for extra use. We grilled pork and fish at the cooking area near the parking lot. Fishermen were selling their catch in the morning, which saved us a trip to the market and gave us more time to swim. The beach front was clean, and the very large pool was clean too. The sunset from our veranda was captivating. Staff were respectful and helpful.
