L' Asuncion Hotel

The room was small, though clean, and the bed was okay. The safe didn’t work. The bathroom faucet was filthy and moldy, and I didn’t want to touch it. The shower handle was moldy too. It seemed like housekeeping wasn’t properly cleaning the faucets, so I warned my 6-year-old daughter not to touch them. The bathroom window had been left open, letting in flies and mosquitoes, and the door lock was broken so it wouldn’t close properly. I heard the hotel was less than 10 years old, but it already looked old from the lack of cleanliness. Even the water dispenser looked dirty and poorly maintained. A female staff member welcomed us when we arrived. When we asked for a bellman, she said there wasn’t one. I asked if she could help with my bags, and she agreed. Marrione at the front desk was very nice and told us the elevator wasn’t working. The same staff member then carried my heavy luggage from the ground floor all the way to our room. I felt bad seeing her manage such heavy bags alone. I was carrying three bags and my 6 yr old daughter, so I really appreciated her help. Please consider adding a bellman or more staff to help guests with heavy luggage, especially when the elevator is out. It isn’t fair for one staff member to carry such heavy bags alone. The staff were kind and helpful, but the hotel needs to improve cleanliness and maintenance.

I was here for a seminar, and the room was comfortable and good. The food was delicious, and the service was amazing, especially from the accommodating interns. This might be the best hotel in Baybay. I took off a star because they couldn’t provide a toothbrush and toothpaste, though luckily there’s a 7-Eleven nearby. It’s a small issue, nothing major. We’ll definitely come back!

L’ASUNCION HOTEL looked like the newest of the downtown hotels when I checked their locations and exteriors while staying in Baybay City. Getting around town on foot was easy from here, and a Metro supermarket and department store were two blocks away. The staff welcomed me, and the king-size bed was soft. Street noise came into the room nearly all hours. Breakfast was okay.

The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, and the service was friendly. The staff were really nice, too. I had a great stay at L'Asuncion Hotel, with modern rooms that were super comfortable. A solid five-star experience.
