Loboc River Resort

The included breakfast buffet was very good, with enough variety for different tastes. The restaurant food, which I reviewed separately, was hit and miss. Since the resort is secluded and there aren’t many other options nearby, that could be an issue. We spent three nights at Loboc River Resort during our time in Bohol, and the place didn’t disappoint. It’s naturally tucked away, so expect that, but spending a few days just at the resort was lovely. Our clean, comfortable room had plenty of space, and we were lucky to have a beautiful balcony right on the riverfront. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us arrange laundry, activities, and transfers. We tried the firefly boat tour, paddleboarding, and massages, all of which I’d recommend. Along the walking trail we also spent lots of time spotting birds, monkeys, and butterflies, a great addition. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a few days of paradise in Bohol.

The buffet breakfast had lots of good choices and was included. We saw more birds on site than in the nearby protected area, and there are plenty of places to explore around the property. The pool was refreshing, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A delightful place to stay along the river in Bohol jungle.

The restaurant had a variety of dishes and a very nice breakfast set. Everyone we met, from the front desk and restaurant team to the drivers and cleaners, was pleasant and professional, and treated us very well. It’s a great base for exploring Bohol, with the historic town of Loboc, the Tarsier Conservation Centre, and the Chocolate Hills nearby. The hotel showed us the warm, hospitable nature of Boholanos. Daghang Salamat po! We highly recommend it.

The laundry service gave us a bad experience, but the staff handled it well and didn’t charge us, which is how it should be. They also arranged transfers to and from the pier, and called so our scooter would be ready the next morning. The firefly boat trip was amazing. The pool is big and pleasant, the rooms were nice and clean, and the service was really helpful. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though nothing too special. I’d definitely recommend this resort.
