Puerto Del Sol Resort

There was plenty of shade and seating, easy beach access, and security by the entrance and beach that made it easy to relax. The grounds and pools were beautiful and well kept, and the resort makes good use of its space, with both quiet corners and shared areas. Staff service was amazing, and the food was good for the price. This was the least expensive resort of our vacation so far, yet our favorite. The rooms were comfortable, though I wish there had been a kettle. It seems great for both local visitors and people coming from abroad. We'll recommend it to friends and family, and would likely come back ourselves.

The infinity pool is especially photogenic, and the resort itself is impressive. People here call it Deluxe accommodation, and that fits: it's clean, comfortable, and worth the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming in the sea is often restricted because the water is at low tide and beyond the resort's safety flags, even when it's below knee depth. We went to to patar beach to swim instead. The rooms are pleasant but missing a few basics, including a hair dryer and a water heater for coffee. Coffee and sugar are provided, but you have to ask for hot coffee. Breakfast is a standard Filipino buffet, nothing special. Pets weren't allowed during our stay.

The property is kept up well, and the rooms and pools were clean. We also had a professionally done massage at a reasonable price. It's an attractive resort, but service felt inconsistent. The shower pressure was weak. At check-in, the front desk started helping another guest before finishing with us. What bothered us most was that wait staff seemed to give better treatment and assistance selectively to foreign guests.

The pool looks out over the beach, and the room, food, and service were all amazing. Sea Cave View is 7km from the resort and has free access; the lighthouse is around 9km away. A great place to stay.
