The staff at Nawa Wellness were warm, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. I went with my mom, and it made for a lovely chance to spend time together. The peaceful, nature-inspired setting helped us feel relaxed and refreshed, and the well-kept, thoughtfully designed facilities added to that calm feeling. I’d highly recommend Nawa Wellness to anyone looking for a serene, rejuvenating escape in Calatagan.

We were grateful that Nawa Wellness could fit all nine of us in even though we booked only a few weeks ahead. We would’ve stayed longer, but our schedules didn’t allow it. The weekend gave us a relaxing break from the busyness and routine of life. The place is beautiful, with nature all around and lovely things people have built by hand. Its wellness idea feels intentional, from the design and activities to the amenities and food choices. I liked how it made room for both movement and stillness. It’s a good private getaway from the city for people interested in health, relaxation, and fitness, whether traveling solo, as a couple, or with a small family.

The food could use improvement. Its quality, variety, serving sizes, and prices didn’t feel like good value, though the champorado was very good. Even so, we had a restful stay and would happily return to Nawa, hoping the food gets better. Our Premier room was lovely and quiet, and the grounds were nice, though there’s a lot of walking. Our dog enjoyed the walks too. We liked the retreat activities and the spa facilities, and the resort offered a good range of activities for everyone. Service was top notch, with staff anticipating what we needed.

Our dog was treated like a guest too, and they even gave him his favorite treat, cucumber. That warmth was typical of Nawa. It was rainy and gloomy when we visited around August 2025, but the welcome and service exceeded what we expected, from the front desk to our room. Sir Mark also gave excellent service, and we’ll remember this as one of our best vacations. The cozy rooms were comfortable, and the food was thoughtfully prepared. Staff handled all the included activities professionally and clearly put effort into them. Circuit training, meal prep, the Himalayan salt room, steam and sauna, breath work and meditation, and stretching and movement all helped us feel relaxed and well, even during a short stay.

The butler service made it easy to get help and keep track of our wellness activity schedule. Special mention to Ms Claire, our butler. Staff were accommodating throughout, and we felt like VIPs from the welcome ritual to checkout. Service was one of the highlights of the stay. At Dalisay Restaurant, the lunch and dinner prices felt fair since it was the only place to order food. The Margherita Pizza was a favorite, and everything we ate was hearty and tasty. Breakfast was included. The buffet was especially good, with homemade corned beef, dried fish, and champorado, while the plated breakfast on quieter days was delicious too. We also enjoyed the food preparation session on juice making and the tasty samples. We spent three days and two nights at Nawa, and it was one of our best stays in nature. The property was clean, well maintained, and a refreshing change from a usual hotel. The terrain made getting around challenging, so valet parking was provided. Its secluded location in Calatagan, Batangas helped create a retreat feel. Our room was well made with the essentials, including a hot and cold shower, and opened onto a shared veranda overlooking much of the property. WiFi was shared, so simultaneous connections could be an issue, but that didn’t matter much for a retreat. The package we bought at a travel fair included a 60-minute massage and brief access to the sauna, Himalayan salt, and red light therapy rooms. Those, along with the included breathing, aerobic, and yoga activities, made the three-day stay worthwhile.
