Noordzee Hostel - Adults Only

The food is good and VERY reasonably priced, and the servers are friendly. It’s also a lovely spot for unwinding or getting some online work done. The restaurant has air conditioning, plenty of seats, and lots of natural light. There’s WiFi, a bar, a spa, and a small pool, though parking is very limited. We didn’t stay overnight, so the 4-star room rating is just a placeholder. The rooms seem fairly priced and include breakfast. There’s also a group room for 4,000php at the time of writing. The property overlooks the ocean and gives you access to it. I’ll save the last star until I’ve actually stayed the night 😄😄

The view is breathtaking, and waking up to the sun above the water is hard to beat. The place is so lovely that you may just want to spend the whole day looking out at the sea stretching to the horizon. Getting to Oslob is easy since the hostel is on the bus route. Just wait by the road and wave down a bus, then it’s 25 pisos and 20 minutes to Oslob. There’s a restaurant on site with fresh local and international dishes. From the staff to the locals, everyone was friendly. The staff treated me like part of their family and went out of their way to find ferry times, chatting because they seemed genuinely interested. Truly outstanding value for money!

A peaceful, quiet place, and I’d happily recommend it. The food was delicious, especially the Carbonara and Alfredo Crema, which I want to order again. The humba was a bit salty, though maybe I’m just used to sweet humba! 😅 The staff were approachable, attentive, and always smiling. The cook was especially thoughtful, even asking the server to bring things out and saying thank you when he passed by outside the kitchen. Our deluxe room was spacious and had a breathtaking view. The bathroom faucet and bidet dripped, but I’m still giving it 5 ⭐.

The location gives you excellent views, but the amenities didn’t measure up. The shower in the cr was broken, and the comfort room seemed poorly maintained. Most disappointing was the water quality. Employees said it was rusty because the water tanks hadn’t been cleaned. It’s a little far from other establishments, so getting something to buy is difficult if you don’t have a private vehicle, especially at night. The WiFi was slow too.
