Anahaw Apartments Whitebeach

Felt right at home here, with everything we needed for our days in Boracay. The staff were kind and accommodating. The beach, 7/11, laundry, and snack shops are just a one-minute walk away; the main road and Andoks are around three minutes on foot.

The worst part for us was the generator fumes. Power outages happen a lot on the island, especially lately, and this building has a generator. Because of the way the apartments and surrounding buildings are laid out, we were warned that we’d inhale the fumes. We were on the fourth floor and traveling with a child, so we booked nine nights but left after four. We asked for a refund and didn’t get one. We wanted an apartment-style place at a low price, but hadn’t expected this. We moved to another resort or hotel for the rest of our stay, and the fumes really spoiled what we liked about the apartment. There are some good points: the room was spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking or longer stays, and staff tried to help when they could. We were able to check in at 8 a.m. because the room was available, subject to availability, and the price was cheap compared with other places. The beach is only a few steps away, with plenty of small shops for necessities. The downsides are a tight, small bathroom and a tiny balcony, though the lack of a sea view made that less of a concern. There’s no elevator and no toiletries. The beachfront is busy because guests are loaded there for water activities.

I loved having a kitchen, and the staff made the stay easy and enjoyable. The coronavirus situation meant I stayed an extra month, so I got to know the staff and owner well. They looked after my worries and concerns. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We stayed at Anahaw appartments two years ago, and now that our twins are two years older, we can say it was our best trip ever. The apartment was nice, especially no.14, the staff were friendly, and everything was perfect. It’s only seconds from the beach. We can’t wait to come back. See you Jing&Sigi!
