Boracay Haven Resort

The staff made the biggest impression on me. They were so kind, attentive, and proactive that I felt like a VIP, and their service was better than what I've had at other hotels, including luxury ones. They seemed to anticipate what I needed and offer help without waiting to be asked. The hotel was also peaceful and uncrowded, and the pool was cleaned daily. We even had times when we could enjoy it by ourselves. It's about a three-minute walk to the beach and around seven minutes to dmall. The price is quite affordable compared with nearby hotels, and the facilities and rooms were very good. Everything looked just like the photos. The food was good too, around 8/10. I'd recommend the place, especially for the outstanding staff, who made the stay memorable.

The room was decent for the price, though it wasn't luxurious, and the basic breakfast was edible. The pool looked smaller in person than in the pictures. I liked being close to the beach, other resorts, and restaurants, about a two-minute walk, while still being just far enough from the beach activity to avoid the commotion without a long walk. I had a 6am checkout and, since I'd miss breakfast, they gave me sandwiches, fruit, and water to take along.

Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a well cared for buffet, different hot dishes daily, and eggs prepared by Chef Edmar and Chef Melody. Sugar, Junie, Julie, Relaine, Angelo, and Luna gave excellent service, and they even arranged a lovely surprise birthday song during breakfast. We also enjoyed cocktails by the pool in the afternoon. The room we had booked and requested was ready as arranged, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, and good shower facilities. Kate kept it clean each day. Abby had been helpful during the reservation, and we were warmly welcomed back when we arrived. Check-in and departure were well organized, and security was always helpful. The hotel is in a good location, and we highly recommend it. We're looking forward to staying again.

I was charged PHP 300 for a bedsheet stain that I did not cause, and the way it was handled left me furious. None of my clothes could have transferred color, and they offered no proof that the stain hadn't already been there. They blamed me right away and pointed to waivers guests are pushed to sign at check-in. The supposed reason was a vague “chemical rinse” fee, which sounded made up. There was no evidence, transparency, or willingness to discuss it, just a demand for payment. It's the lack of integrity that upset me, not the amount. Take photos of everything as soon as you check in. What happened felt like a scam, not hospitality.
