The location is a plus: the beach is about 150 meters away, and there's a 24-hour food stall only 50 meters from the property. But at 1,500 pesos per night, I think this hostel is expensive for what you get. The building is old, and my room was in very poor condition. It seemed like it may once have been a lodge that was later converted into a hostel, which could explain the outdated rooms and building. My first-floor room, just past the stairs, was noisy, especially with children playing nearby. There was mold and visible dark spots on the walls, some electrical outlets didn't work properly, the TV speaker was faulty, and the bathroom ceiling leaked, apparently with droplets coming from the restroom above. The key card and door were another major problem. The lock didn't work, so whenever I went out the room was left open and anyone could enter. I could manage because I had no expensive belongings there, but it's a serious security issue. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I think you can find better options for the same price, or a much better room by paying a little more.

I booked this hotel by mistake and had to fight for my refund, even going to the police station for help. When I said I would meet the owner there, they suddenly agreed to refund me. The customer service was the worst. Not recommended, beware!

The location is close to the beach, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The kettle didn't work, but they gladly replaced it when we asked. There were two cockroaches in the room, one in the restroom and another near the bed. No toiletries were provided, including shampoo, soap or toothpaste, so I was glad I'd brought my own. They did provide two towels, a rug and four clothes hangers. The shower's hot and cold settings weren't working.

The bathroom was missing shampoo, soap, tissue, and a shower curtain, and its door wouldn’t close properly. Our room also clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The air conditioner remote didn’t work, so we called for help, but it took a while to fix. We asked to move rooms so we could sleep and rest, and they didn’t even consider it. I’m being generous giving this place two stars. I’d strongly recommend booking somewhere else unless this is truly your last resort.

The hotel itself was good, and the customer service was great. I enjoyed my stay, though the route to the beach feels like going through a tunnel. It seemed dangerous to me, in case bad guys were to trap someone there.
