We booked the new twin room at Lola’s Lodge, and it was clean and comfortable. It has two beds, its own toilet and bath, towels, air-conditioning and a fan, all of which made it pleasant to come back to after a long beach day. The shared kitchen is handy if you’d rather cook, and the staff were friendly and helpful. For two people, it was just ₱1200 per night, a really affordable price given the excellent location. It’s right in D’Mall, close to Budget Mart and a short walk from the beachfront, so everything is easy to get to. Lola’s Lodge is a good budget option if you want comfort and convenience without spending much. We’d book again and highly recommend it. You can book directly through their Fb page, Lola’s Lodge.

The boss is really nice, and they let you store your luggage for free. The room was tidy and clean, with no cockroaches.

We booked four nights, but after just the first day we moved to another hotel. The place was very far from the beach, dirty, and full of mosquitoes. It looked so different from the pictures that we felt we’d wasted 5,000. The air conditioning was hot, the beds were old and we could feel the springs, and the shower pressure was weak. The walk back from the beach was long and felt dangerous at night because you had to pass through a dark, narrow street inside D Mall. I don’t recommend it. There are better places closer to the beach, so avoid this one.

We used to pick this place for vacations because it’s right in the heart of D'mall, and the location is great. It’s reasonable when you’re on a budget. This time, though, my wife got bed bug bites that left her back itchy and covered in rashes. We told the staff what happened, but all they did was apologize. They offered no remedy at all.
