Mandala Spa and Resort Villas

The quiet was the first thing that struck us at Mandala Spa and Resort Villas. We couldn't hear Boracay's bustle, traffic, or even roosters, and the staff greeted us gently with a customary “mubahay.” The welcome drinks and water were followed by a room tour, even though we arrived early. The villa was huge, scented beautifully, and decorated with flowers and rose petals. There were thoughtful touches everywhere, plenty of closet shelves, a comfortable king bed, and a large bathroom with a private outdoor shower. We booked the Garden Villa Romantic Escape Package, which included a couples spa treatment and romantic dinner. Mandala arranged our airport to port transfers, covered the fees and steps, and took care of transport between the port and resort as well as the return trip. Breakfast came with the package, and we also had lunch at the restaurant on our first day. It serves breakfast and lunch, and can do dinner with advance notice. Every meal was delicious and reasonably priced. The spa began with a foot bath, then a great massage, and ended with a couples bath with wine and gourmet chocolates. The therapists were attentive and excellent. For dinner, our private area was decorated so beautifully that it nearly brought us to happy tears. We had four courses, enjoyed every bite along with the wine and music, and the kind staff looked after us so well. The resort is very LGBTQ friendly, which mattered to us. I've stayed at more than 50 hotels or resorts in the Philippines, and Mandala is number one for me. The value is extraordinary, and I can't thank the staff enough. ♥️

There’s potential here, with the nature, space, and presentation all aiming for a zen feel, but the treatments and details didn’t meet the high price. I’ve had lymphatic drainage massages in many countries, and this one wasn’t close to those or even relaxing. My husband found the signature massage average and nothing special, and said he’d had a better one at a much cheaper spa. The lights were on during my massage until I asked for them to be dimmed. Then they came back on right after, bright enough to feel like midday sun in my face when waking up. Afterward, they served tea that was so hot and seemed to expect us to finish it within five minutes while they watched and waited. Some improvements would help the place live up to its potential.

I left feeling refreshed and completely renewed. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had, with very skilled staff and a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The whole thing felt luxurious. A must-try in Boracay!

Getting the princess treatment here was an otherworldly experience. I have nothing to complain about, only praise for the staff and everyone who made the place so welcoming and relaxing. 10/10, worth the money, and I’d highly recommend it.
