Ondus Boracay

That back entrance to the main road was a real help, especially for elderly guests or anyone carrying heavy bags. It meant we could get to the hotel without walking through the sand, which is common in Boracay. On departure day, a staff member from Ondus accompanied our group of five all the way to the port and airport, even though I’d booked our airport transfer separately. That extra care really stayed with me. I was in a Signature King Room from January 19-23, 2026. I got there around 1:00 PM, before the room was ready. I thought I might wait at the second-floor restaurant until the 3:00 PM check-in, but it was closed, so I left my luggage and went out for lunch. Check-in was easy when I returned. They took a PHP 5,000 deposit and my ID, explained the services, and escorted me to my second-floor room. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. I liked the balcony overlooking the pool, with a small view of the beach out front, especially in the early morning. Breakfast was included and served as a plated meal with a few options. The service was fine and consistent, though nothing special. There was always someone at reception, even very early or late, and a security guard on duty, which made the place feel safe and well run. Comfortable rooms, convenient access, and thoughtful service. I’d consider staying at Ondus Boracay again.

The location puts you right in front of the beach, with easy access to the sand and sea, while the area stays quiet at night. The hotel also provides beach towels and sand blankets. It’s a good fit if you want to unwind without the noise and party scene. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept really well after full days out. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. A small welcome amenity was a nice touch. Breakfast is a la carte, not a buffet, with freshly made Filipino and Western choices. It was a pleasant, unrushed start to the day. A couple of room details could be better: the shower had no glass door or partition, so water splashed around, and the floor drain cleared slowly. There’s no iron or ironing board in the room, though reception can provide a steamer.

Ondus Hotel Boracay felt both stylish and homey. The room was modern, spotless, and just steps from the beach. The bed and fresh linens were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. From our arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly and handled every request quickly and politely. Their care and attention made the stay feel special. We’d love to come back soon.

The mattresses were comfortable, the air conditioning worked very well in the heat, and the staff were generally friendly. Those were the better parts of our stay as a couple. After more than 20 hours of travel, our room still wasn’t ready when we arrived, which was frustrating. We were told housekeeping would clean by 5 p.m., but sometimes they didn’t come until after 6. Small towels were missing, and the beach mats were very thin, thinner than the towels. The first mat was even smaller than a regular towel. We had a Signature King room by the pool. That might sound nice, but ours was beside the main pool entrance and towel station, with people constantly passing. Guests and staff carrying things to nearby rooms walked right past, practically across our “balcony.” A privacy screen would help. It also seemed inconsistent to tell guests to avoid henna or colored wet clothes because they might stain fabrics, when many of the towels and sheets already had visible stains. The shower gel dispenser was empty and only got refilled after we called reception twice. We tried breakfast once, and the food wasn’t very good. We could choose coffee or juice, not both, and both my partner’s coffee and mine had fruit flies in them. That was off-putting. The bar area wasn’t inviting and seemed closed most of the time, even in high season. Vendors were constantly trying to sell boat tours in the busy area, and approached us repeatedly even when we were on hotel furniture. There were quite a lot of children around, which may or may not be a drawback depending on what you want. The hotel has some good points, but there are several areas where the guest experience could be much better.
