We wanted somewhere peaceful, and being about 30 minutes from downtown suited us. The hotel’s shuttle made getting there convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. Everyone was smiling, approachable, and helpful. The concierge and restaurant staff deserve a special mention, and Thricia gave me a wonderfully relaxing spa treatment on our last night, a lovely way to end the holiday. The room could have been cleaner. More shuttle availability from Cove 2 would help, and umbrellas there would be a nice addition.

The hotel itself is very good, with impressive rooms and facilities, and I’d stay there again if the front desk service improved. Staff seemed more interested in selling breakfast than helping us with questions. We arrived tired and hungry in the afternoon and asked about renting a scooter. The front desk sent us to the concierge, who said none were available. The front desk staff member then said there were no scooters for rent anywhere on the island, which was hard to believe. We also asked about other ways to get around. They mentioned pickup and drop-off service to some island attractions, but said it depended on available slots. They weren’t helpful with our questions, yet tried to sell us breakfast four or five times in ten minutes. For flexible trips from the hotel to Station 1, Station 2, or Puka beach, there’s a local hop on hop off option with unlimited rides. It costs 250 pesos for 24 hours or 350 for 48 hours, and there’s a pickup point near 7-11 just past the swimming pool. The hotel won’t tell you about it.

The pools are huge and never crowded, and the beach is a short walk away. The free shuttle to D mall was handy, and staff could call a tuktuk anytime for a good price. The pre-booked return transfer was perfectly organized. We were looked after at every step, without worry or chaos. The hotel was spotless, the staff were always smiling and ready to help, and breakfast had plenty of variety. The food and drinks during the day were above the quality I expected. I have no complaints and would book again without hesitation or recommend it to others. I had to leave two days before the end of my paid stay, so I didn’t use the airport return trip. We unexpectedly got a paid two-night stay at another hotel, and since we had the chance to see other nice places on the island, decided not to finish our time at Savoy for that reason. The reception staff were very kind and sorry to see me go early. Thank you, Hana and Nikola.

The grounds were nice enough, though the hotel feels about 25 years old. We booked a queen bed but got a smaller one. The room smelled a little musty, and the floors stayed wet. The bed was very hard, but staff brought us an extra comforter.

The deluxe room was spacious, and I loved the beach’s exclusivity. Savoy is a great choice for a peaceful, relaxed Boracay vacation. Everyone was kind and approachable, from the front office and concierge to Savoy Cafe staff, guards, and shuttle drivers. They were always smiling and ready to help. A shuttle runs every hour to D'mall, and there’s also one back to Savoy at Jollibee D'mall, which makes getting around easy.
