St. Vincent Cottages - Dee and Timmy Side

Food nearby is great, especially at La Carmela de Boracay. St. Vincent was close to the boundary between the 2nd and 3rd station beachfront, just a short walk away. The room could fit 8 people and had air conditioning, though the unit was older, plus a sink and a balcony with two chairs and a table. Moisture was wearing down the balcony furniture. The bathroom was average, not especially clean but not the worst. There was no internet, water sometimes stopped on the higher floors, and the towels provided were substandard.

The staff treated us well and handled our requests promptly, so I'd still come back even with the problems we had. The hotel is near the beach and lots of stores, and the internet worked while the air conditioning was good. But the toilet water was dirty, the heater didn't work, and phone signal in the room was weak or sometimes absent. Breakfast choices were limited, and you had to go downstairs for hot or cold drinking water. I hope they keep improving.

0 stars. The whole compound smelled bad and had lots of mosquitoes. In the bathroom, the shower didn't work in Room 17, and water kept flooding the toilet area because the floor tiles were uneven and there were holes in the shower. It already smelled bad before we arrived. We told the admin to fix it, but two hours later nothing had changed. There was no refrigerator or working TV, and the sheets and pillowcases still had stains. We asked for hot water, but it never came to our room, and the staff didn't seem to care. Wifi was only accessible in one specific area. The garbage was dirty, and there was no toilet paper when we arrived.

The staff's attitude was disgusting, and inside the hotel compound they let scammers target Australians while paying a commission to the cottage. The rooms were in disgraceful condition, with no hot water and a broken toilet, yet the prices were huge. Stay the hell away. A report has been made to the authorities.
