The Beach Anne Boracay

I ended up leaving for another hotel without getting my money back, even though I still had seven nights left. I kept getting insect bites and there were no mosquitoes, so I didn't believe the problem had been fixed. The place also wasn't maintained properly and had no elevator. After I complained about the bed bugs and how itchy I was the next morning, they moved me to another bed and said it was an upgrade. I had the same problem the following night and didn't want to stay. They refused a refund, but offered another room and free breakfast. It was uncomfortable and the bites kept me up all night.

We booked Ellen’s Resort through Agoda, then were sent to The Beach Anne’s resort, perhaps because the owner is the same. Getting there from the beachfront means walking through a narrow, dark, muddy alley. It was a budget stay, but the room had its own bathroom, AC, and Cable TV. The space felt claustrophobic and was really only good for two, though our stay was good overall.

The place was a little hard to find at first, near Ciriaco S. Tirol Hospital, and the route to the beachfront goes through a dark, narrow alley. We booked on Agoda and were sent to Ellen's Resort next door; the owners of the two places are relatives. On day two we moved to a room at The Beach Anne Resort. It was a budget-friendly stay, with small but clean rooms, private bathrooms, AC, and Cable Tv. There was no hot water in the shower, but overall we were fine with our stay.

For the same price, there are much nicer hotels in the area. We didn't get the two-bed room we had requested, and the room was small with no hot water. The kids at the front desk snickered at us and didn't speak English.
