Tuburan Cove Beach Resort

We loved the spectacular view from our beachfront room, and chose to leave the curtains open. The room was just right for our overnight stay, with comfy beds and a spacious bathroom. This quiet little secret in a cove in Buruanga is so well kept. Everyone was respectful, helpful, and kind, and the owners were friendly and easy to approach. Thanks for making such a beautiful place for people to enjoy.

The food was delicious, and we loved how simple, modern, and clean the rooms were. My family and I had a wonderful time at Tubruan in Buruanga, and wished we could have stayed longer. Everything felt perfect. It was peaceful, with few rooms and no big crowds, so it felt private and relaxing. The pool was lovely for unwinding. The staff made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, check-in went smoothly, and they were accommodating the whole time. Highly recommend!

The wildlife around Tuburan Cove was such a treat: wild monkeys nearby, fireflies, seabirds, crabs, and plenty of other creatures. We were also completely happy with the private beach and the other facilities. The menu is simple but has a good range, and the food was nicely presented, tasty, and came quickly. Prices were fair and reasonable. My partner and I were looking for time together without distractions, away from the fast pace of London, UK. We arrived 5th November and had booked eight nights, but chose to add two more because of availability. From beginning to end, we got the peaceful, relaxing experience we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower room was a good size. The infinity pool and surrounding area were fresh, well maintained, and roomy. The staff seemed happy in their work and were consistently polite and helpful. They were often ready to help before we even asked. James, Bernie, Dustin and Nonoy were all very professional, as was the rest of the team, and everyone went out of their way to give good service. Thanks to Andrew and Tess for a perfect stay. I’m sure you know who we are. We’ll see you again soon. One thing to be ready for is the very steep entrance to the resort. Help is available if you need it, and the setting feels secluded. There’s also nearby Hinugtan Beach, but getting there means tackling a steep climb and then a steep descent on the short trek. We only went a couple of times, and we’re both quite fit. For a simple, peaceful holiday or stop on your travels, Tuburan Cove is a great place to visit.

I’d give zero stars if I could. We came on November 6 hoping to have a quick look at the rooms before booking, since we were planning to stay, but staff wouldn’t let us in without paying an entrance fee, even just to see the place. You can’t go into the café or see the beach or anything inside the resort. It’s all blocked off, which made a terrible first impression. How are you supposed to book a stay without seeing what you’re paying for? We left very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it. Check carefully before booking, because who knows what’s really behind those gates.
