We waited 25 minutes for the fried chicken burger and calamari, and both arrived cold. My iced mocha came without ice, too. I wouldn't recommend the food here.

The pools are nice, the views are good, and the staff have always treated me well. But I've stayed here three times, and the air conditioners are badly placed. They're crammed into the walls without room to breathe, so they never manage to cool the rooms. My first seafood pizza was delicious, which is why I came back months later wanting it again. This time it had barely any seafood and seemed to use cheap local cheese. It also had green pepper, whereas before it had real mozzarella.

We spent a few days just unwinding in the quiet, and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The place sits right on the water with a little private beach and lovely views of the nearby islands. It's a destination resort meant to be self-sustaining, which matters because there's no village, town, ATM, restaurant or bar nearby. The resort is your lifeline out here. For me, it was almost too tranquil. There are a few quirky things, at least from our stay: the elevators run for 30 minutes, then stop for 90, and the power went off intermittently overnight. Still, it's a nice place if you want to switch off. Sea turtles live nearby and pop their heads up around cocktail hour by the end of the dock. There's also a pristine sanctuary fairly close where you can see dugongs and sea turtles. I believe there may be dive sites nearby too if you'd rather not stay by the pool or beach.
