Of the three hotels we stayed at on this Cagayan trip, G-Galyx was our favorite. It was centrally located near most of the places we needed, had the biggest room, and was the only one of the three with an elevator. The bed was really comfortable, and we slept well. It stayed quiet overnight, though morning traffic on the street below woke us up. The staff were friendly, and both times I spoke with them went well. The catch is that it costs 50% more than the other budget hotels. For a longer stay, that difference matters, so if we return, we may go with our second choice at a much lower price.

There was nowhere to hang clothes, even in the bathroom. The staff, including the guard, need proper training. There was no hospitality at all. If you're worn out from traveling, don't book here unless you have no other option. It's cheap, but there are other inexpensive places with good service.

We spent one night here with friends and booked an affordable room for four. They gave us a room with five beds, but it was cramped and very small. At check-in, the front desk handed us the key, TV remote, and towels, which seemed odd, though it was okay. The location is decent, within a reasonable walk of Ayala, but there isn't much else to get excited about.

I accidentally booked July 17-19, 2025, instead of the intended July 07-09, 2025. This was meant to extend our staff member's stay from July 04-07, 2025. As soon as I noticed the mistake, I contacted the front desk and explained. Even though we were willing to pay any difference in rate, they insisted on following the policy and showed little understanding or flexibility. It was a simple human error, and because they wouldn't make an accommodation, the staff member is now paying the cost personally. After this experience and the unhelpful attitude at the front desk, we can't recommend or book the hotel for our business operations or partners anymore.

The rooms and water had an awful smell, the windows wouldn't lock, and the bathroom was flooded. The aircon was old and loud as drums, and the bedsheets and towels were clay-colored. The front desk staff were arrogant. I paid through Agoda for a cube room, but they gave me a different one even after I insisted. Free parking marked for cube rooms wasn't provided as stated. The young security guard ran the parking lot for tips, and even let a private BFP car park for money. I won't go back to this unruly place.
