Uptown Condotel

The staff were very friendly, breakfast was great and free, and seniors are guaranteed a 20% discount. It's inexpensive and mostly clean, with stylish room designs, though some rooms need rehabilitation. The sheets are too small for the bed. It's about the best hotel uptown.

I paid $800 for 12 days, and the friendly staff were about the only bright spot. The lobby and hallway looked very nice, but the room felt like an ordinary apartment, with a tiny sink, a broken towel holder, no toilet paper holder, and hot water that didn't work at first. The lights were out when we arrived and took a day to get replaced. After I upgraded to a two-bed room, it was so dusty that I had to call housekeeping, and toilet paper was in very short supply. My son and I stayed for two weeks in July 2018. This isn't a luxury place, despite what they claim. They need to repair the broken fixtures. I regret staying here, won't recommend it, and wouldn't come back.

The staff were nice and the location was good, but I'd never stay at Condotel in CDO again. There was only one chair at the dining table, and I didn't ask for more because I worried there might be a charge. The toilet seat was broken, I had to request toilet paper, the kitchen sink dripped, and the microwave was out for repair or replacement, I couldn't tell which. There was no room service, so asking for it meant losing 1-2 hours of vacation time waiting. They charged extra for a towel, and the bathroom drain was stained brown and had bugs and mosquitoes. We also had to pay cash because the credit card reader was out of service. Worst hotel I've had in 40 years of travel.

There are lots of shops and stores nearby, plenty of places to get delicious food, and a bar downstairs. The rooms are clean, and the staff are kind and friendly with good service. One of the better hotels or condos in the area.
