Nikita's Place Hotel

Service was below average. The phones in the room didn't work, so if we needed anything we had to go to the front desk. We also found the shower water kind of slimy for some reason. The comfort rooms need a key to enter, and we had to ask the front desk for ours. The rooms were clean and simple, with cable TV to watch. It's close to the port, so I'd recommend staying here on your first day in Mindoro or the night before you leave.

Please disregard the rating previously posted by the hacker. I'm Claudio, the owner of this account, and my Google account was hacked. Nikitas hotel provides good service, in fact it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Calapan City Oriental Mindoro. I recommend staying here.

The rooms are large, and the flatscreen TV works well. That's about the only positive. There's no ventilation in the toilet, and the shower only has cold water. We stayed several days with a large group, and the rooms weren't cleaned unless we asked several times. The staff don't speak English. There's a breakfast menu, but whatever you order, you get that day's standard menu. The quality wasn't always good, with cold fried eggs and canned fruit salad with cream. Coffee was only available as instant 3 in 1. We were also overcharged for the Hotel van transport. Later we found we'd been charged for three extra breakfasts we never got, as well as coffee, for five days.

Food options are limited, but luckily there's a coffee/deli shop right beside the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean, and the TV and Wi-Fi were great. They were better than what I've had at big hotels in the metro. The lights kept flickering and should be replaced. Still, I rested well, and the place felt secure even when I forgot to take my keys out of the door 😅
