Camiguin Highland Resort

The restaurant and gardens were the best parts for us. The garden is pretty and well kept, and I loved the lomi and sinigang. I’d have preferred kangkong instead of pechay in the sinigang, but it was still fragrant and really good. It felt like very good, homey Filipino food, even if it wasn’t a five-star creative meal. I’d come back just to eat. Pumba the Pomeranian was roaming around and was very cute. I gave him some pork sinigang meat and he liked it. The Agoda mix-up meant we had to pay extra, and the rooms are really old. Beds, cabinets, curtains, chairs, and the shower area felt stuck in the 80s-90s and were creaky. Our room’s sliding lock was missing a part, something paranoid guests should keep in mind. There’s no mobile coverage inside the rooms, so they need signal boosters. Their internet is through Starlink, which may go down on cloudy or stormy days. The hotel needs updating, and a real IT professional should handle the network. You need a car to stay here. The parking area is big enough, though not paved. I got angry at the staff over the Agoda issue and felt bad about taking it out on them and my mother, but the staff handled me professionally. This was probably a very nice hotel 30-40 years ago. The garden and restaurant are still nice, and I’d order food here again if I stayed again.

We spent three nights here with my family. It’s affordable and quiet, with a chance to connect with nature, and only 7-10 minutes from the center of Mambajao. The staff were kind and accommodating, and we liked the food. I’d recommend it.

The shower pressure could be stronger, and the heater wasn’t working properly. The hotel is a little old, but it still has charm. We found the staff and chef accommodating, and the food was delicious. It’s a peaceful, serene place for a stay in Camiguin. Despite those small issues, I’d rate it 4 out of 5 and consider it a good choice for a relaxing getaway.

The resort was well maintained, thanks to the workers, and it was especially good for families with kids. The food was awesome, and the kitchen team made very tasty meals. Everyone was friendly and attentive, from the server to the front desk, which gave us a free upgrade. They kept checking that we were comfortable and taken care of, making the stay relaxing and memorable. I highly recommend it.
