LCF BB Hotel and Restaurant

We paid 33cdn$ a night through Airbnb. The rooms were clean, and the view was great. It’s a short tricycle ride into town, though I walked there a few times too. We arrived early off the ferry and were able to check in early without a problem, but that might depend on how busy they are.

The rooms and beds were much too small for me, and the bathrooms were tiny too. There’s no parking, and the staff seemed badly trained. When I arrived for my three-night reservation, they showed me two rooms: one had a very small double bed and a very small aircon, while the room on the third floor had a bigger aircon and two small double beds but no window. I canceled and spent three hours looking for another hotel on Romblon, but couldn’t find anywhere nice. The hotels and resorts all seemed low-standard, even at 1500 pesos a night or more, so I took the ferry to Tablas, where I’d heard there were nicer places.

Visitors can rent a room by the day, week, or month, with options for two people, groups, and families. The building has five floors: the third is used for conferences, events, and gatherings, while the fourth and fifth are set aside for visitors and tourists.

The rooms are clean and new, but those big windows let the sun heat up the small rooms badly, and the air-con is too weak. Staff are quite noisy early in the morning. It’s fine for a night or two, but I wouldn’t stay longer. They rent out the Honda e scooter cheaper than in town, so if you’re there anyway, rent it from the hotel.
