This is a beachfront place, though the rooms are a bit old and there’s no hot and cold shower. Staff were very friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond to inquiries. The small resto serves delicious silogs, and they can also prepare food for a boodle fight on the island.

I’ve stayed here, but forgot to take a picture. The rooms, crew, and service were all okay. There were no complimentary basics like tissue, a toothbrush, toothpaste, or water. It’s also okay for location, but there isn’t a sari sari store nearby, so buy what you need before coming.

The staff were accommodating, and the place was clean and budget friendly. I paid ₱1,700 for a room with a queen bed, a single bed, and an extra single mattress, with breakfast for 2pax included. The rooms could use a little renovation. You’re allowed to cook on the veranda, but bring your own cookware and portable stove, and clean as you go. Most lodging on Paniman Beach won’t let you cook, trust me, I asked around. Make sure your car can handle the uneven road to Caramoan. Their island hopping rates as of 4/22/2023 were fixed from Caramoan: Short Trip ₱2,000 for 10pax, Long Trip ₱3,000 for 10pax, or ₱5,000 for both short and long trips in one day. Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

The staff were nice, which earns them an extra star, but the room was a mess. The air smelled moldy, the aircon and water heater didn’t work, and the toilet and drains were clogged. The bar had nothing much beyond empty bottles on the shelf and cheap Sangria. At 2,000₱ a night, it felt pricey for a place where so much was broken. I’m sure Island View Lodge was great 25 years ago. For comparison, I got a spacious, fairly luxurious room with a spa and TV at SOGO hotel in Naga for 1,300 a day.

The lodge has a breathtaking view, though boats fill up the whole beach. The accommodation itself is basic but comfortable, with air conditioning and a toilet and bath. It seems set up for group tours.
