Adelfa Hotel

I had an okay stay, though the hotel needs improvement and appears to be undergoing renovation. The elevator worked, and the lobby reception has a bench and dining tables. Parking is tough: the drop-off space fits one car, and even getting out can be difficult because the car barely fits without taking up part of the road. At the same price, there are better hotels nearby, so I wouldn't recommend it until things improve.

We picked Adelfa hotel because it's close to Chong Hua Hospital and Chong Hua Medical Mall. There are eateries, restaurants, pharmacies, and convenience stores around it, with Robinsons Supermarket a few minutes' walk away. A laundry shop beside the hotel also delivers clothes to the hotel. Our room had enough space and plenty of sunlight, but the wardrobe door was oddly narrow. The staff were great and quick to help whenever we asked. The bathroom needs a deep clean, has no bidet or hot water, and the shower head was covered in black molds, so I soaked it in chlorine.

I shared a room with an officemate and classmate from my master's program. It was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, so I was comfortable there. Breakfast is easy to get beside reception. The hotel serves it too, but we went to the food stalls next door because we're stingy that way. Honestly, a clean CR is enough to earn five stars from me. Everything else is a bonus. :)

The location worked perfectly for me. I'm from Tacloban and had a routine check-up appointment with my doctor at Chong Hua, so it was a blessing to find this hotel. It was my first stay, and I really appreciated the service, especially how quickly they answered questions and let me check in very, very early. The room was clean and had basic bathroom amenities, though no toothbrush. If you're on a tight budget, there's a modest carenderia across the street with tasty lutong bahay food.
