We’ve stayed at Eastland Hotel several times, and the ongoing lack of maintenance and care is a problem. There’s too little parking in front and behind the hotel. The bathrooms need a thorough clean and maintenance, the towels are thin and may once have been white, and the safe boxes often don’t work. The rooms have no furniture. TVs don’t use public channels, so there’s no local or world news, only Netflix and YouTube subscriptions. Requests aren’t given attention when reservations are handled, and rooms aren’t prepared in advance. Quality control is lacking, and Eastland Hotel doesn’t respond to issues. I initially didn’t want to post a negative review, but the hotel hasn’t even had the manners to reply, so here it is.

My fiancé and I are regular guests at Eastland Hotel, and we really love staying here. The rooms are consistently clean and comfortable, and the price is great, which keeps bringing us back. One thing we keep noticing is that the front desk staff rarely smile or seem welcoming. Sometimes it feels like they don’t want to be there, and that makes check-in a little uncomfortable. A warmer greeting would make guests feel more valued.

The room had plenty of space and a decent view, but getting anything from room service was a struggle. They'd agree to requests and then nothing would arrive. When I followed up, I'd get an apology and some explanation. I've never stayed somewhere with room service this poor.

Spoon and Spices was a highlight, with tasty local and international choices in a nice setting. The hotel was also well placed for getting around the city, and the price felt fair for what we got. Our room was especially spacious compared with other hotels, comfortable, and kept very clean. The staff were warm and consistently helpful throughout our three days at Eastland Hotel and Residences. We had a fantastic stay and left very happy with the experience.
