The room had no window or refrigerator, and for what it offered, the price felt a little high. They also wouldn’t let me check in early. Still, it works well if all you need is somewhere to sleep for one night, especially before an early ferry, and you don’t plan to spend the day at the hotel. I booked it for an early ferry to Bohol the next day.

Philippine Seafarers' Union or Philippine Online Hotel Business? 🚢 Even as a seaman, even if you book at the front desk for open time, they’ll kick you out when a random tourist books online. It’s sad to see a union house put Agoda guests ahead of Filipino seafarers it’s supposed to serve. Membership and loyalty clearly don’t count for much here. They’re on the business side, not the seafarer side, and they’re not on the PSU member side, but the non-member side.

No Wi-Fi worked at all during my three-night stay. They kept saying it was being repaired, but it still wasn’t fixed after more than 3 days. Lol. The room is tiny, with nowhere to put luggage, and the toilet smells like sewage whenever you use the shower. The hotel doesn’t turn on the air conditioning. If you got stuck in the elevator for about an hour, you’d probably die, it’s hotter than a sauna.

The location is actually great, very close to port pier 1 in cebu, with a 7eleven about 200 meters across the street. They also have a water dispenser outside, and the shower has hot water with good pressure. But I don’t recommend this hotel at all. For a few hundred pesos more, you can get a better, more comfortable hotel nearby. The building is old and poorly maintained. The lobby was filthy and had no air conditioning. Staff tried to squeeze money out of me for early check-in, asking for half the price even when I was only an hour or an hour and a half early, before the 2 pm check-in time and while the hotel was empty. The elevator was warm, had no AC, and moved very slowly. The room was tiny, with a rolling blind instead of fabric curtains and poor soundproofing. I could hear people slamming doors and chatting. The bathroom was cramped with a tiny sink, and the shower water smelled funky. There was no kittle for coffee. The bed was really firm, almost hard, the pillows were small, and the old white towels were faded and looked grey.

We had a couples night convention for MCGI members here. It’s spacious, and the airconditioning was so cold, haha. Not the best venue around, but definitely nice for gatherings. Hope to come back for more, God willing ✨
