The place was falling apart inside and out, with rust, broken tiles, lights that didn’t work, leaking taps, old furniture and no amenities. The room smelled bad and seemed not to have been cleaned. The hallway cleaners made noise day after day, and the receptionist kept saying “Yes, sir” but never actually helped. The OYO guard was strange, the boss seemed to care only about herself, and when I left she “blessed me.” The owner seemed focused only on money and made-up rules that felt like a dictatorship. I spent a month in this disaster, and it was a disgraceful waste of money. Rent was ₱10,000. They charged ₱500 for a fridge, ₱500 for Wi-Fi that wasn’t stable, ₱500 for sheets and towels, and ₱200 for a full water bottle, though by some miracle I got that ₱200 back. With utilities, the total came to a ridiculous ₱13,800. I also wasn’t allowed to use the elevator, haha. Only VIP members could take it, so I had to walk up and down to the fourth floor. I couldn’t find another condo because every landlord in Cebu seemed to have ridiculous rules or offer a terrible stay. Apartments in Lapu-Lapu are much better than in the city.

We chose this room because we had business to do at the IT park. The pictures looked convincing, but our first room had very loud air conditioning. We asked a female staff member to move us, and luckily she was kind and found us a better room. They didn’t provide soap or tissue, so you have to buy those yourself. The rate wasn’t bad, but the place still wasn’t worth it and lacked cleanliness. Sorry to leave this review, but it’s the truth.

xtendops gave us a month of free accommodation at this hotel as part of our relocation package. We thought extending the stay with our own money would be a good choice, but it was the worst experience I’ve had. JY Crown Palace is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, and the owner is the worst I’ve met. I hope xtendops doesn’t let another employee experience this. We paid for one room, with a security deposit and a month in advance. The amounts I wrote down were: 10,000 10,000 21,000 1,000 for beddings 500 for Wi-Fi 150 for garbage 22,650 total /2 pax 11,325 each When we moved out, owner Annabelle Yang didn’t want to return my deposit, saying I had to pay the current month’s bill. She also added 500 pesos for room cleaning, 500 pesos for laundry and charges for garbage and other unexpected expenses. These costs were handed to us on the spot, despite an agreement posted from the beginning of the occupancy. A late payment meant a 100-per-day charge, even though my deposit covered it. I didn’t want trouble, so I paid the Php 1,300, but on that same day, after I paid the added penalty, I was forced to move out without any prior notice. The owner then didn’t refund my money. I found that unlawful and inhumane. The room wasn’t ready for guests. On my first night I had to fix the faucet myself, and when I went to use the toilet, there was a centipede almost three inches long in the bowl. I bought cleaning liquid because I wanted to be sure no centipede would come out, OMG. The tiles were dirty, and there were spiders and cockroaches in the cabinet. I don’t want those arachnids and other insects as roommates. There was no tissue or soap in the bathroom, and every elevator ride cost 80 pesos, more than the 50-peso bus ride to Mactan airport. The staff may be good, but they follow the owner’s orders and end up complicit in her bad behavior. The owner should take a seminar on good manners and proper conduct. I don’t recommend this overpriced hotel to anyone. The service is under par.

The room wasn’t worth what I paid. It was dim and poorly lit, and they should put a light bulb in every corner. The toilet door was damaged; I tried to fix it, but I doubt it’ll hold. One of the photos showed a refrigerator, but there wasn’t one when I checked in. The outlets looked nearly damaged, the TV didn’t work, and they should have supplied water for guests.

We booked three nights online for me, my wife and our baby, and the photos made the price look convincing. The building turned out to be run-down and creepy. If my wife hadn’t had important business nearby the next day, we wouldn’t have stayed. We left after the second night because of the poor service. I still don’t know if it’s a hotel or a lodge, but a lodge would have better service. Anyone thinking of staying here, beware. The lobby was half-lit, untidy and unsettling when we arrived, and the staff didn’t seem to know the hotel’s procedures. Our room was dark, with only one of its four bulbs working. Furniture was dusty, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, mosquitoes in the room and a cockroach under the bed. The TV was dusty, with rubbish behind it, and had just one very blurry channel. The fridge smelled foul. The CR was messy, had no toiletries, and there were no complimentary drinks such as coffee or water. There was no doormat, especially in the CR, and the door opened by itself. There was no telephone. On the second day, we were told not to use the elevator. All the hallway lights were turned off, making it very dark and creepy. Visitors were charged P300.
