San Jose Pension

The location is great if you need somewhere peaceful and not crowded to work. The rooms are quite old. If you like the feeling of visiting your grandparents' old family home back in the province, you'll probably like the atmosphere here.

The location was the best part for me, about a 15-minute walk to Ayala mall and Robinsons mall, and 30 minutes to colon. There's a 7-Eleven across the street, and the pension house sells snacks and soft drinks. Staff were friendly, and my double room was clean, air conditioned, and had its own bathroom and cable TV. Free Wi-Fi too. It cost 599 pesos a night or 16.000 per month.

For 600 Pesos a night, the room had air conditioning. There was no mirror, shampoo, or toothpaste, but luckily I'd brought my own.

The room's sink, toilet, bed, TV, and air conditioner were all old. Still, it's one of the cheaper places, so if you only need to stay overnight, it could work. They sell things you might need, like shampoo, soap, and coffee.
