Sans Hotel at Rana Cebu - Vaccinated Staff

I couldn't stay because there was no Wi-Fi, and I need internet for online work. I had booked two nights and checked in early, around 9-10AM. After the Wi-Fi failed, I went to reception twice. They told me to work in the lobby because maintenance was far from the hotel, but I paid for a room and didn't want to work out there. At 2AM I got frustrated, checked out, and asked for a refund for just one of my two nights. They said the hotel had no refund policy, and the receptionist and I went back and forth without getting anywhere. It was exhausting, and I needed working internet. They told me last December they'd refund me, but now it's nearly February and I still haven't received it. Telling guests to work in the lobby when there's no internet in their room isn't the way to treat them. I wouldn't have left if the Wi-Fi worked, but there was absolutely none. I'll never come back. I went to the hotel across the street and it was much better. Very poor customer service.

It was a good stay, and the room was nice, clean, and quiet enough to unwind a little away from the city. The linens and pillows were prepared well. The bathroom had a heater and shower, clean toiletries, and free comfy slippers. There was no fridge or chair at the table.

For the price, the week here was OK. On the third day I asked for room service, and the maid put stained sheets on my bed. Later, the front desk called to say the sheets she'd removed were stained and tried to charge me 200 Paseos. I argued with them for a couple of days before they finally dropped the charge. I don't like motels trying to make bogus extra charges against their customers.

Our travel agency booked San Hotel for us, and its location near Cebu attractions was convenient. Nearby shops came in handy when we wanted food, and the security measures helped us feel safe. We didn't spend much time there since it was mainly somewhere to sleep for the night. The water pressure was low, and there were no complimentary toiletries, which was a bit disappointing, though not a major problem for us. Overall, it was a decent place to stay.
