The Teepee Place Hostel & Residence Inn by OYO

There’s not much nearby, and it’s on the only street around without bars or anything fun. There were a lot of homeless people around. At least 7-Eleven is within walking distance. Avoid a room facing the road because the noise carries. For the same price, you can find better rooms in better locations.

Mango Square nightlife is a bit far if that’s your main reason for staying, but there was plenty to do nearby for me. I walked left down the street and found a pizza restaurant with outdoor seating, drink deals, and good beer specials, including Red Horse. A 500 ml one was p90. I got a small pizza and shared half with the restaurant workers, who were happy about it. Later I was tired and craving McDonald's fries, so I walked there. Two women asked where I was going, and when I said I was getting McDonald's fries, they said they wanted chocolate sundaes too. We went together, had a great night, and danced the next night as well. It really depends on what you want from the location. This place worked well for me, though the rooms are too tight for three people. Three guests clearly weren’t part of the design plans. Overall it was pretty good. I’d just upgrade to a bigger room. I paid p2200 for a single room. Thank you, Salamat, Aloha 🌴,🌐

The bunks were tidy, and the lockers are large enough for a big suitcase. It’s within walking distance of Fuente and the main town, and the lifts were clean and working. Road noise comes through easily, but the place is still okay and good value for the money. The floor drain had hair clogging it when I checked in, though housekeeping cleaned it after two or three minutes anyway. The hot shower worked. I’d still recommend staying here.

The deluxe room is great, and the receptionists and building security guard were friendly and approachable. This is a budget hotel, so don’t expect free toiletries, bring your own. I’d read older reviews saying towels weren’t provided at check-in, but they’ve made an effort since then and now hand them out before guests go up to their rooms. The only downside for me was the lack of a telephone in the room.
