Wellcôme Hotel

The pool on the third floor is small, only 2-ft deep, and the glass walls need a major cleaning, so don’t expect much from it. Breakfast on the roof deck was decent and filling, though there weren’t many choices. Our room was clean and well maintained, Wi-Fi was fast and accessible throughout the hotel, and the restroom had toiletries. Check-in was easy, and the place is close to Ayala Center and other commercial areas. We could hear doorbells and people talking from neighboring rooms, and construction outside meant noisy work from morning until afternoon. Still, we enjoyed our stay and thought it was good value for money, with superb service.

The staff were very friendly, and there’s a small gym, a pool, and a lovely view, especially at night. Breakfast was good too, with a great view from the roof deck. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get there, but it helps work up an appetite. Check out their long-stay package if you’d like to make the hotel a second home. My picky foreigner friend liked it, so it must be good for everyone!

Breakfast was a bit chaotic. A lot of things had run out and weren’t being replenished, and although there seemed to be a queue for omelettes, people pushed in. The tables and chairs were crowded together, making it hard to move around. Our sixth-floor room was right below the noisy rooftop bar and next to an elevator, but it wasn’t too bad when we went to sleep. We were impressed by the helpful reception, clean, nice room, and working Wi-Fi.

The pool hadn’t been drained during our stay. Apart from that, the room was tidy and well maintained, and breakfast was good, with a variety of foods to choose from. The staff were friendly and approachable. It’s a convenient, cost-effective place for a city stay and time to relax with family.
