4/10
There was nothing Zen about this place. There were no ZEN marks in the room or at check-in, and the hotel had no Zen quality. The rooms were old but large, and clean, though the curtains were torn. The short street leading to the hotel was unpaved, with slum shacks along it. The restaurant serves good said food, and steak tartar is on the menu.

The rooms were okay, but the check-in and checkout were both horrible. If you go out at night, they lock the front door. When you return from the mall or somewhere else, you can’t get in, and there’s no guard around to help or open it. There isn’t even a doorbell to call anyone. The food is overpriced, and Red Planet is almost the same price with better staff. The hotel is called St. Moritz, not Zen, and drivers get confused about where it is.

The location is handy, right by a large shopping centre, a bank, and other amenities. We had a nice, spacious room with a working AC, TV, and WiFi, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was average. Not bad overall.

It’s an old building, but quiet and close to all the attractions.
