Star Hotel

For the price, it’s hard to complain. The rooms are average in size, and there’s air conditioning, hot and cold water in the shower, and the other basics you’d expect. Breakfast is decent. The Wi-Fi does get a little spotty.

They only let you watch one music channel and won’t let you use the TV remote, so you can’t switch channels yourself. Pretty disappointing for a supposed three-star hotel. Their room rates keep changing too. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There aren’t many convenience stores nearby, but I really liked the room. It had plenty of space, a separate study area, extra chairs, and a bathtub. Service was fine. On our first day, we had to eat in a private room, which made the dining area feel a little odd. Still, it was a pleasant stay. 🤩

The $599 buffet felt like a bargain, especially with Davao buffets usually going for around $800 to $1,000 or more these days. There was also coffee from Paramount Coffee, and they gave the Father’s Day celebrants complimentary banana chips. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and quick. The place was nice and not too crowded. Given the food, service, and price, I thought they deserved more customers. I left full and satisfied. They apparently don’t have dinner buffets every day, so I’m looking forward to the next occasional one. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to friends. I went on June 16, 2024, for their Father’s Day buffet.
