Blue Waters Inn Coron

The hotel stay was fine, with cold AC. They provided a toothbrush and bar soap, but no shampoo, and there’s no restaurant on site. Pool towels cost 80 pesos to rent. We used them, though I think they should be free for guests. This central part of Coron town doesn’t have big fancy hotels, so expectations need adjusting. The excursions are the draw, more than the town itself. The location is very central, an easy walk to restaurants, the pier for excursions, travel agencies, laundry and convenience stores. The front desk staff were very nice, and I could reach them by WhatsApp during business hours. The desk person leaves at 9 pm, then a security guard takes over, and he doesn’t handle WhatsApp messages. We arranged an airport pickup on WhatsApp for 250 pesos per person. There wasn’t a dedicated hotel driver, and we shared a van with another family of eight staying elsewhere. Our driver arrived last at the airport, and we waited 30 minutes after everyone else on our flight had been picked up. For the return trip, we paid 2000 pesos for a private transfer, which was on time. I’d recommend the hotel for its friendly service, convenient location and ease of getting around.

The front of house team were wonderful throughout our few days at Blue Waters Inn. They were always around to help with anything and to book tricycles or tours. The hotel is right in the town centre, within walking distance of the tour companies and restaurants we visited. We arrived a little early, so spent a few hours in the top-floor space, which had great air conditioning and views. Our room was comfortable and had good air-con, though it wasn’t very spacious. It had everything we needed for a few days exploring, and the hanging rails outside were useful for damp clothes. There are water refill stations on several floors. Buses from Busuanga airport ran regularly and dropped us at the hotel; we paid for the transfer when we arrived. I’d recommend Blue Waters Inn to anyone looking for comfortable, affordable, friendly accommodation in the centre of Coron.

The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but the dining room on the top floor is a nice spot to eat takeaway. We arranged our island tour through the hotel, and they also ordered our airport shuttle. The rooms are clean and have hot showers and A/C. You’re right in the middle of town, barely a block from restaurants, a laundromat and other things you might need. Highly recommend.

The employees were courteous and very helpful, and the downtown location is great, with restaurants and bars close by. The rooms are modest, with no cable or satellite channels. There’s no elevator, so if stairs are difficult for you, get a room on a lower floor. Internet barely worked in my room, and outside the hotel it was weak, though there was a connection in the lobby.
