Coron Hilltop View Resort

The warm, welcoming staff made a big difference and went out of their way to help. I also found the rooms clean and the service excellent. My stay at Coron Hilltop View Resort was better than expected, and I’d happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, convenient place to stay.

The staff were kind, and the location was good. It’s a cheap, very basic stay with a bed, shower, air con and toilet, but no mini fridge. Breakfast was limited to eggs, apples, rice, oats, milk and bread. The place feels dated and soulless, and cleanliness was poor. They seemed to clean only the visible spots, and ants or bugs in the room were common. There were blood stains on the bedding and towels, and the laundry service didn’t seem adequate. The old air con was very loud and often smelled of cigarettes. The hotel needs repairs and updates. The staff are doing what they can with an old property, but as it stands, I’d put it around one or two stars, perhaps three at best. If you want a very cheap, no-frills stay, it may still be worth the price.

The staff were nice and accommodating, and they did respond when my husband got bed bug bites. They changed the sheets and sprayed the room, which I appreciated. Still, the place is dated and not very clean. I also found shampoo left in the shower by a previous guest. It’s budget-friendly, and the mini pantry is a nice touch. If all you need is a cheap bed and shower with basic amenities, it could work.

A lovely stay. The rooms were clean, attractive and felt safe, and the employees were polite and hospitable. The staff were easy to approach and spoke English well. I’ll likely come back.
