Hotel Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa

We had a very good stay, and the clinic nurse deserves a special thank you for helping us however she could. Our Kuya server was also so kind and helpful. Sorry we can't remember his name, but his care really made a difference. We came with our little family for New Year's Eve. The drive was easy, and we were greeted in such a warm, thoughtful way. Our ocean-view room felt relaxing and had more space than we expected, which worked really well for a family. The food itself was good, though restaurant service was only fair. With so many guests and an event happening that night, they were clearly swamped, and our meal took about an hour to arrive.

The resort's compact size made getting around simple. The beach and pool were only a few steps from everything, so the whole stay felt relaxed and convenient. At Kamana Sanctuary Resort in Subic, our room was clean, comfortable, and had what we needed. The facilities were kept up well and felt thoughtfully arranged. We also liked that the food was good and fairly priced, without the inflated costs you sometimes see at resorts. We had a great time and would consider returning.

The food at the on-site restaurant was mediocre and overpriced, and the waiters were so inattentive that one of our orders was forgotten after a long wait. We also couldn't get a decent night's sleep. Music from the common areas carried on until midnight, there were no blackout curtains, and the thin walls let us hear people in the corridor and footsteps overhead. There were a couple of nice things: the room was spacious, and the beach and pool had lovely views. But the room itself was filthy and run-down, and the resort seemed poorly maintained and managed. The shower and sink drains were clogged, and maintenance never fixed them, so water sat in the room. Mosquitoes were everywhere. When we raised it, housekeeping just gave us a can of Baygon spray, which felt unsafe and unprofessional, especially since we have asthma. A chemical spray isn't a proper fix. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this stay was frustrating and deeply disappointing. The resort wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We were there on the holiday May 27, 2026. The place has a romantic feel and a nice atmosphere, but there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Food is really expensive too, with unlimited breakfast at Php1,100 and Coke Zero at ₱185.
