Majika's Island Resort

Come for a dinner by the beach, and don’t miss the majika trail. Climb it early in the morning or just before sunset if you can, though any time works. Bring your camera, it’s magical. There’s also a nearby japanese gunboat wreck, so you can arrange a dive with the resort, and kayaks are free. The food was fantastic and the staff were very accommodating. Solar power runs the cottage lights and fans from 12am up to 6pm, then the generator supplies power throughout the resort. You can charge batteries and cameras then. It’s a great place to disconnect from the modern world and relax. Great job Majika Team!

The coral gardens right in front of the rooms are amazing. We were picked up at the airport, driven for an hour, and then took an hour-long homemade catamaran ride to the resort. The food was incredible, and there were smiles all around.

A peaceful, planet-friendly island resort with its own power, used very efficiently through solar energy. The employees are good, and it’s a nice pitstop for snorkeling and diving. There’s a small spring bath by the beach with a lovely sea view. If you want privacy, rest, and time with nature, this is the place.

Getting to and from the island meant walking over sinking sand, which gave me nightmares about stepping on it. There was no water, the electricity kept cutting in and out, and flies gathered around the food.
