The Ridge Coron

The view from the top deck was stunning, one of the best in Coron. Food was very good and satisfying, and service was always on time. Everything seemed well managed. Most of all, the team made our stay wonderful. After tiring days out, we'd come back to such energetic, warm welcomes and genuine smiles that we forgot how tired we were. Their positive attitude always lifted our mood. A fantastic experience, and we'd definitely like to stay again.

We booked a tour at the desk, and they took care of everything. The trip was brilliant. The hotel is beside mt tapyas and near town, with a shuttle taxi offered down the hill. We had a great time here, with friendly, helpful staff, breakfast included, and a nice lunch and dinner menu. The view over coron was great too.

The staff were great and did what they could to make the stay pleasant. The breakfast, though, was a small, meager set meal with just coffee and no juice. Very disappointing. This is a budget place charging a decent hotel price. I paid almost double what might have felt reasonable for Coron, around 2000 PHP. Entering the room felt like a gut punch because I knew I'd been ripped off. It was tiny, like a prison cell, with no desk, chair, refrigerator, or anything. The bathroom was small, had old fittings, and smelled of sewage, with the foul odor filling the room. The “ocean view room” showed only a sliver of water over the trees, so it wasn't a view at all and felt completely misrepresented. The second-floor rooms do have a nice view, but their windows face a walkway, so people pass by and you can't really leave the curtains open. The positive reviews don't match the place. They ask guests to leave a 5-star review at checkout.

It was peaceful and relaxing, with a lovely view of the green surroundings and water. Our room was very nice and clean. The staff were extremely friendly, always smiling and ready to help. They helped us arrange everything, which made the stay easy and comfortable. Highly recommend it!
