Evolution Dive and Beach Resort

The early morning thresher shark dives were a highlight. From what I heard talking with people around the island, they start earlier than most, and even if you're not a morning person, you'll become one for this. The diving team, including Kleng, RC and Josh, were calm and professional, and worked hard to make the dives relaxed and interesting. The equipment was in excellent condition and always set up just right. Everyone was considerate and easy to talk to, from the restaurant staff and reception team to the dive masters and instructors. Communication was smooth throughout. I also really liked the accommodation. The room, common area and sun beds all look lovely without feeling forced or dated. It's laid back and well cared for. The food was tasty, with Filipino and western options. I'd recommend the soups and the delicious fish and chips. I stayed three nights and dived for five days, and would absolutely come back. They fill up quickly for both rooms and dives, so I'd book ahead to get a spot.

The rental gear at evolution was great, and they even had backplate BCDs 😍. I hope to visit again, maybe to start my tech diving journey 🤙🏼. We planned a trip for 16 divers with Nick and Matt from evolution. They replied quickly and were flexible with our requests, so organizing everything was seamless. Our group spent three days diving with Harvey, Elgin Kevin and Ryan, four fantastic dive masters. They brought great energy to the group and briefed us on safety before every dive. They also stressed protecting the environment so the sites stay safe.

The location worked really well for both of us. It's at the edge of the commercial area, so it's quiet, but still an easy walk to the places we wanted to eat and visit. The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant had good food and drinks, and reception was very helpful whenever I had questions. My husband and I stayed at the Evolution for six nights. I dive and he doesn't, but we both enjoyed it. I was especially impressed with the dive operation: the organization, procedures and guides were among the most professional I've experienced. I brought my own gear, and it was handled carefully and looked after well over several days of diving. Their rental equipment also looked like the best I've seen. I'd definitely recommend Evolution for a Malapascua trip.

From start to finish, the organization and service at Evolution were superb. The team's safety standards were clear: the staff were well trained, the equipment was maintained, and the guides were very experienced. I was most impressed by how attentive they were underwater. They seemed aware of everything and ready to help, which gave me a lot of confidence as a diver. Diving with Evolution surpassed my expectations, and if I visit again, I'd choose them without hesitation. Highly recommend.
