The 10PM curfew made this feel more like a dorm or boarding house than a hotel, even though it's called "HOTEL DON RAUL". Coming back after 10PM felt awkward and restricted, like life had to stop. They also wouldn't let us roll luggage through the lobby because they were worried about scratching their "expensive" floor, though the tiles looked low quality. What's the point of having fancy flooring if guests can't use it? The rooms were disappointing for the price. A lot of the equipment looked old and worn; the bathroom door hinges were barely holding on, and the knob kept getting stuck. Too many rules, too little comfort.

The owners were both friendly and helpful, and we had a pleasant stay at Don Raul. Our room was tidy and very clean, and the AC worked perfectly. Everything was good, we can't complain. Thanks for hosting us!

Sir Raul was very accommodating, and the place was quiet. We stayed two nights, and both the room and bathroom were clean. There was plenty of parking, and the mall was about an eight-minute walk away. The hotel sits beside the main road, which is under construction out front, but we could still reach it and bring our car or motorcycle into the parking lot.

The owner was super friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spotless with powerful air con. We don't understand some of the negative reviews. It's a great place for a night or two.

Avoid this place. The owner took our reservation even though he knew the hotel wasn't accessible, and didn't tell us the road out front had been excavated for construction. We had to pay for overnight parking at the mall and walk with all our luggage over the dug-up roads. He told us the road had been open the day before, but it had clearly been under construction for several weeks. DO NOT BOOK HERE!! WORST HOTEL IN DAGUPAN.
