Star Plaza Hotel

The staff were all helpful, friendly, and courteous. One disappointing policy is that non-Philippine residents don't get the 32% room or restaurant discount. We asked the manager, and she said that's their policy. We've eaten at other restaurants where they accepted our US senior ID and gave us the discount. I hope this place changes its policy.

We had a really good time in the KTV room, and the staff were very accommodating. Kudos to the cashier for fully implementing RA9994. Senior citizens, come on over! Our group will definitely be back again 💖

At night, after housekeeping had been in our room, reception called to say they'd found cracks in our kettle and wanted to charge PHP 800. We hadn't touched it or even known there was a kettle. I suspect it was swapped for a broken one during housekeeping, but when we asked for before-check-in evidence or photos, none were provided. When we checked out, the receipt said our original deposit had been returned in full, but they actually gave us PHP 800 less. My mother pushed for a correct receipt, and they blamed a system error, which was a lame excuse. This felt like an inside job. The service was lousy, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Also, don't get a massage there, they applied no pressure at all.

The atmosphere was great, the rooms were comfortable, and everyone we dealt with, from the guard and bellboy to the front desk, was excellent. As first-timers, we found the way there a little tricky. Parking right in front is limited, though there's space at the side or back, or at their sister hotel, which was fully booked during our visit.
