Chinita Boutique Hotel

We spent about a week here and had a lovely stay. I wanted to be a little away from the super crowded Alona Beach, and this was a good base for exploring. I rented a scooter for the week, it was in great condition, and I got around on it. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was lovely to cool off in the pool. The wifi was very strong, which helped since I needed to catch up on some work online. There's also an incredible Italian restaurant just a five-minute walk up the road.

You can't walk from the hotel, so definitely rent a scooter to get to the beaches, shops, or city. We were really happy with our choice and had some great days there. It's a nice, cozy little hotel, with super friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool is perfect for a quick dip between activities. Basic breakfast plates are available to order if you want.

We had to cancel our three-night booking after our plans changed, and we told the hotel before the stay was due to begin. They still refused to cancel it and gave us no refund, not even part of the cost. They only processed the cancellation after we contacted Booking.com customer service, which was difficult to reach. By then, they had marked the trip cancelled, which also closed our customer service escalation. Management was unresponsive and inconsiderate throughout.

We couldn't use our three-day booking for health reasons, but the payment wasn't refundable. I asked whether they could make an exception, since the amount was quite large and our reason for cancelling was reasonable. I hope they consider improving the policy in the future.
