The rooms booked through Agoda were good value, but the pool charges for staying guests made the whole booking not worth it. I’d booked three rooms for three nights and called D'Leonor a week ahead to check. The rooms were all fine, but I was told the wave pool and slide pool weren’t included and would cost extra each day. To use both pools daily, all six of us would have to pay the full walk-in entrance price, despite staying there. I asked whether there was a discount for using both every day and was told no. At those rates, both pools for six people over three days on top of the room price would be crazy. It wasn’t really about paying, but the pricing structure for staying guests was so bad that I ended up canceling. Years ago I booked the same through Agoda and pool access was included, so check what you’re paying for.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a good time overall at D'Leonor Inland Resort & Adventure Park. My family especially enjoyed the wave pool. The pool paint looked old and damaged, though, and the floor was rough enough that my 8-year-old daughter got a small cut on her heel. That left us worried about safety. Many of the kids' rides were closed for maintenance. I’d recommend the resort for a family trip, but hope they repair the pool and rides so it’s safer and more enjoyable for everyone.

The pool area is beautiful, and it’s a great spot to bring kids for water play. There’s nice decoration around the hotel too. Zip line and climbing wall were open. Overnight guests don’t pay corkage, so bring beer and other drinks if you like. My friend emptied the D'Leonor stock of sm light in a day, and yesterday we emptied the sm light from the teller machine in half an hour. I asked the counter staff to restock early but they refused, suggesting restaurant room service instead. There’s a mini fridge in the room, and ours had a small freezer, so we bought drinks at the nearby mall and had them cold for the evening. The fun park has been closed for months; I saw no repairs, so maybe it won’t reopen. With a vehicle, the airport is just 10 minutes away, and the Robinsons mall, Swiss Deli, and loads of other excellent restaurants are under 10 minutes away. The D'Leonor is a bit isolated, with hardly anything around, so bring a car or scooter if you’ll stay several days. It’s a solid hotel at a fair price, not overpriced like most places in Davao and the Philippines generally. It’s quiet, with no roosters or barking dogs. Extra capsules are available for KTV videoke, and during the day modern pop songs play at the pool, audible but not too loud to talk over. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor. It’s not a top of the top five-star hotel, but the value for money is absolutely high.

The host was very friendly, the place was clean and cozy, and the air-conditioning was cold. There’s proper parking inside the property with a roof, so the car feels secure. We’ll surely come back if we visit Davao.

The staff were great, and the resort and room were pretty good. D'Leonor has lots of amenities, and they even helped me with an injury I got running downhill. The pools were fun and busy, especially the wave pool. There are also theme parks, a zip line, and other activities. I didn’t get to try those because time ran out and I was badly injured, but they still seem doable. The Wi-Fi was really slow. They give you a code, but the connection kept getting interrupted, probably due to high usage and limited bandwidth. My Linux Thinkpad laptop also had a hard time connecting, since Wi-Fi technicalities are difficult. The TV cable wasn’t working either. Still, I’d rate the place 4/5. The staff were great, but the Wi-Fi wasn’t.
