The Daylight Inn Davao

The bed was comfortable enough that I’d consider returning, but the service makes me think twice. The front desk woman was rude, spoke loudly, and didn’t make us feel welcome. We were the only guests at the desk, yet she gave me side-eye looks and showed no friendly manners. Front desk staff should be professional and accommodating. Please assess this and train the staff properly. If you have time, look for other inns with friendlier service and lower prices.

The sink in my room was one thing I appreciated. Otherwise, it’s a pretty rough place, though I guess the price is what you pay for. Shared toilets have no bidet, the showers are low quality, and my bed had a big dip across half of it. I didn’t bother complaining. The fan room was okay, but quite humid during the day. The front desk staff did their jobs, though most seemed miserable and not interested in talking to a foreigner.

For what it costs, our one-night stay was good. I’d suggest offering a room like the double economy one, with air-conditioning and a private bathroom.

I got a great price through Agoda and stayed one night. The room was clean, smelled pleasant, and came with free toiletries. The shared bathroom was spacious and had good ventilation. It’s centrally placed, with plenty of shops, diners, and a pharmacy nearby, plus a jeep stop around the corner and taxis that are easy to find.
